Are there storage facilities at the centre?

Yes. We provide secure storage facilities at all our national centres to ensure your belongings are kept safe while you are on the field.

  • Locker Hire: Secure lockers are available for a small charge at each paintball centre. These are specifically designed for personal items, valuables, car keys, and spare clothing.
  • How to Hire: Please visit the on-site shop upon arrival to hire a key. We recommend doing this during registration so you are ready before the safety briefing begins.
  • Large Items: While lockers are provided for essentials, we suggest leaving large bags or non-essential equipment in your locked vehicle to ensure space remains available for all guests.
  • Security: Utilising our lockers keeps your gear clean, dry, and secure, allowing you to focus entirely on your mission in the game zones.

What is the minimum age to play paintball in Australia?

The minimum age to play paintball in Australia currently varies by state. At Next Level Paintball, we are actively involved in working with local authorities to lower these age requirements so more “young guns” can join the action!

Current Minimum Age Requirements:

South Australia (SA) 10 Years + (Parental presence required for ages 10–16)
New South Wales (NSW) 12 Years +
Western Australia (WA) 12 Years +
Queensland (QLD) 15 Years +
ACT & Victoria (VIC) 16 Years +

Looking for MiniBall?
If your squad is too young for traditional paintball, our MiniBall (ages 8–15) sessions are available in Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, and Brisbane. Great news: MiniBall is also launching at our NSW locations in 2026!

National Pro Tip: Age laws can be a bit of a mixed bag across the country. To ensure your group meets the local requirements or to check the latest updates for your region, give us a buzz on 1300 490 898.

What should I wear and bring for paintball?

To ensure your squad is fully prepared for an action-packed mission, please follow our recommendations for clothing, gear, and essentials:

  • Footwear: We strongly recommend sturdy walking boots with ankle support and deep tread rubber soles, especially as it can get muddy during the winter months. While some customers choose wellington boots for comfort in the wet, they do lack ankle support. Sandals, thongs, and open-toed shoes are strictly prohibited.
  • Clothing: Wear comfortable, old clothing (like tracksuits or leggings) under the combat suits we provide. We highly recommend bringing a towel and a full change of clothes for the end of the day to ensure a comfortable journey home.
  • Personal Belongings: Secure lockers are available for hire on-site to store your valuables, car keys, and dry clothes while you are out in the game zones.
  • Hand Protection: Your hands are sensitive to impact; you are welcome to bring your own gloves or purchase professional armoured gloves from our on-site kiosk.
  • Food & Hydration: As we do not offer pizza lunches or onsite catering, please bring an esky with a packed lunch and plenty of water. Cold drinks and snacks are available for purchase at the kiosk.
  • Payment Methods: We accept PIN-verified card payments (Visa and MasterCard) and cash. Please note that card transactions may incur a small fee, so bringing some cash for extra paintballs or snacks is recommended.

National Pro Tip: During the scorching summer months, freezing a few bottles of water the night before is the best way to ensure you’ve got ice-cold water all day! If you’re unsure about gear, give us a buzz on 1300 490 898.

Do I have to fill out a registration form?

Yes. Every player must complete an online registration form before they are authorised to participate at our national centres.

  • Under 16s: For players under 16 years of age, the online registration form must be completed by a parent or guardian.
  • Group Coordination: We recommend sending the registration link to your entire group alongside your invitations to ensure a fast, seamless check-in on the day.
  • Accessing the Link: Please request your unique group link from your event coordinator when finalising your booking.
  • Connectivity & Delays: Completing forms in advance is essential. Many centres are in remote areas where mobile signal and internet connectivity are unreliable. Waiting until you arrive will significantly delay your check-in.
  • On-Site Facilities: While tablets are available at the centre for emergency use, they are subject to local network availability.

Does paintball still go ahead if it is raining?

Yes. Paintball is a premier all-weather activity, and our centres are fully equipped to ensure your group has a world-class experience regardless of the conditions.

  • All-Weather Facilities: Every centre features large, sheltered base camp areas to keep your group dry and comfortable between missions.
  • Secure Storage: We provide on-site lockers at all locations to ensure your valuables and dry clothes remain protected while you are on the field.
  • Weather & Cancellation Policy: In the unlikely event that a session cannot proceed due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or “Force Majeure Events,” Next Level Paintball reserves the right to issue a full-value credit for the booking instead of a refund.
  • Credit Flexibility: This credit is valid for a future booking date at any of our available national locations and is fully transferable to another person.
  • Safety First: The decision to postpone a game due to weather is made solely by the Centre Manager to ensure the safety of all players and staff.

National Pro Tip: Australian weather can be unpredictable! We highly recommend bringing a towel and a spare change of clothes to leave in your vehicle for a comfortable journey home. For any weather enquiries, call our team on 1300 490 898.

Can I bring my own paintball marker or equipment to the paintball centre?

Yes. You are welcome to bring your own gear to the centre; however, all equipment is subject to the final approval and discretion of the Centre Manager.

  • Paintball Markers: To use your own marker, you must hold a valid state-specific Paintball Marker Permit. We exclusively use .50 Calibre markers, and your equipment must pass an on-site chronograph test to ensure it fires below 300 FPS.
  • Air Systems & Gas: For health and safety reasons, players are not permitted to bring their own gas cylinders. Markers must be compatible with our onsite air bottles (3000 PSI), which are refilled by marshals every 30 minutes.
  • Goggles & Suits: You may use your own paintball-specific goggles and combat suits, provided they have not been modified and pass a safety inspection upon arrival.
  • Paintballs: Only paintballs issued on the day of your event may be used. External paintballs are strictly prohibited for health, safety, and environmental reasons.
  • Base Camp Safety: We operate a strict “No Markers in Base Camp” policy. When not in play, all equipment must remain safely racked in the designated Gun Zone.

What food and drink is available at the centre?

To ensure your squad stays hydrated and full of energy, please note the following on-site facilities and catering policies at our national centres:

  • Catering Policy: We do not offer pizza lunches or onsite catering. You are more than welcome to bring your own esky with refreshments and a packed lunch to enjoy in our sheltered base camp seating areas between games.
  • On-Site Kiosk: Our base camp shops are stocked with ice-cold drinks, bottled water, Gatorade, and snacks (chocolates, chips, and lollies) available for purchase throughout the day.
  • Hydration: We do not provide complimentary drinking water on-site. We strongly recommend bringing plenty of water for a big day in the bush, or ensuring you have funds for kiosk purchases.
  • Payment Methods: Our shops accept cash and Eftpos (Visa and MasterCard) for your convenience.

National Pro Tip: During the scorching summer months, freezing a few bottles of water the night before is a classic move to ensure you’ve got ice-cold water all day! If you have any questions about the facilities, give the team a buzz on 1300 490 898.

Can I pay for my booking on the day?

No. To ensure a safe and organised experience, all bookings must be confirmed and paid for in advance of your event date.

  • Capacity: Each centre has a strict player limit. We must confirm total numbers prior to the event to ensure we do not exceed safe capacity.
  • Logistics: Advance payment allows our team to organise essential equipment, coordinate game teams, and roster professional marshalling staff.
  • Catering & Food: Our locations do not offer pizza lunches or onsite catering. We recommend making your own arrangements for food and refreshments in advance.
  • Booking Process: To secure your preferred date, please contact our booking office to complete your registration and payment.

How far ahead do I need to book?

To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. All dates are subject to availability and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • High Demand: Our national centres experience high demand, particularly on weekends. Your preferred centre and date may not always be available if left to the last minute.
  • Alternative Solutions: If your first choice is fully booked, our event consultants will proactively provide a list of alternative dates or nearby venues to accommodate your group.
  • Securing Your Spot: Please note that your booking is only officially secured once your payment has been processed and player numbers are confirmed.
  • Minimum Notice: Early booking also ensures we have sufficient professional marshalling staff rostered to provide your group with a world-class experience.

National Pro Tip: Looking for a last-minute mission? Give our team a call on 1300 490 898. We occasionally have late cancellations or newly opened sessions that may allow us to fit your group in at short notice!

How much do paintballs cost?

Paintball prices at our national centres start at $29.99 per 100 when purchased in smaller quantities. However, we offer several ways to increase your “firepower” for less:

  • Group Discounts: The price per 100 paintballs reduces significantly when you purchase in larger quantities as a group. For a full breakdown of our current rates, please visit our Prices Page.
  • Ticket Holder Benefits: If you have Next Level Paintball tickets, you are eligible for further exclusive discounts on our pre-paid Paintball Packages.
  • Flexibility: Paintballs can be purchased at the base camp throughout the day, ensuring you never run out of ammo during a critical mission.

National Pro-Tip: To get the most “bang for your buck,” we recommend choosing a package that suits your group’s playstyle before the games begin. For more information on our best-value deals, call our team on 1300 490 898.
